Stanroph Cabin is a traditional and authentic log cabin built in 1934 from chestnut logs and ‘chinking’ as per the style synonymous with the Cook Forest area. The original front door is via a covered wooden porch which features a swing and leads directly into the living room.
From the living room there is a hallway leading to the master bedroom and separate bathroom. The 2nd guest bedroom accessed from the living room together with the loft sleeping area via an open wooden staircase. A second hallway leads into a utility area with closets, sink and cupboards, then into the kitchen.
The kitchen comprises of a table and chairs with a beautiful view into the forest and various appliances including stove/oven, dish washer, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine. There is a pantry, double sink and ample worktop space. At the back of the kitchen is a bathroom which also contains a cupboard housing the pump & water heater.
In 1977 the cabin was extended using stone rather than logs to add a dining room, 1st guest room, and covered patio to the property. The patio includes a natural gas grill, hot tub, and large deck with tables & chairs. The side entrance is located off the patio and accesses into the dining room.
Note: Both bathrooms comprise of a toilet, sink and shower.
